I have always checked my unicycles into the airline baggage without putting
them into a box. For the last 10 years I have had no problems.
Sadly, the strongest unicycle that I own has been damaged. My Semcycle
Deluxe with Monty Conversion has now got 2 bent cranks.
I am not surprised though as a suitcase of mine was badly damaged and I had
a carribiner stolen off a piece of luggage whilst on the same flight .
The moral of the story - remove your cranks or put the uni in a bow before
flying.
