Bass players?

is washburn a “good” brand?

p.s. im “justin” on a different account

Get a “Tanglewood Rebel” they’re good I’ve been playing for 3 years and its the only bass i’ve had, it looks great and it was cheap. Im not sure if they’re around in america though. Have a look around.

Em,
Stranger Than A Gang Of Drunken Mimes

i cant find that certain bass but…your hair is the awesome!

i lost all chances of getting a bass by not selling my ipod.

I used to play bass…it was fun…don’t know why I stopped… but I have a yamaha…don’t make fun of me…but hey the bass player for Dream Theater plays a yamaha, and they’re cheap, but the think of an amazing bass player who uses a yamaha…(the guy from dream theater) so you know, like I said using a yamaha, I was pretty intense…yeah…

The best low-end to high-end basses will have an active pick-up, like a Bartolini MK-5, anything that takes a battery will produce a fuller, easier to control tone than magnet pick-ups.
A solid fretboard would be the next thing to look for. Ebony or ebony wood imitations are good examples. And even though it’s a standard for most basses, you’ll want to be sure that the neck has a truss rod-- if it’s a used bass, you’ll want to check the truss to make sure it isn’t all gnarled out of shape already.

That said, any bass that just “feels” like it plays well is usually good enough for a new player, but some quality will let you grow with it.

THREAD FROM THE DEAD! OOOO

anyway, i play bass. I just before started learning the letter notes on the neck. (3-4 years of playing bass and i dont know them). Anyway, i’m learning them to help with learning modes (one of the other things i never got around to). now i’m more able to listen to my uncle (whos been playing bass since he was in 6th grade) and comprehend stuff.
