It actually looks like they are on the wrong thread, which is probably why they look like they are drooping.
It is quite hard to believe that you could bend a pedal axle. If they are cross-threaded the cranks are probably damaged too (I don’t think you’d get them screwed in that far if you mixed up the sides).
i damaged one to a point it was angled extremely. so i got a new set and i’m trying this setup out. this is working for now and i’m going to replace the other crank arm. You can probably guess the q factor is near the high end.
Do you have a venture crank on one side and a cotterless on the other? I didn’t even think that would be possible.
I have a set of Venture square taper cranks in my parts bin, so I know they do exist, and were once in production.
