I am extremely annoyed with my server is the entire labour weekend (New Zealand
holiday to celebrate the 40 hour week) posts never reached me. Grrrr.
Do the posts for rec.unicycling go onto an archive some where? If so what is the
address? Maybe I should subscribe to the mailing list to ensure I get
everything? What are the details for the mailing list?

The Unicycle Page has an archive of messages, but it is many months out of date.
They automatically get archived at Dejanews (http://www.dejanews.com), however.
Just set up a search filter, selecting the newsgroup and dates, then click on
the reference where it says how many messages there are. This will give you a
list of postings.
If you want to subscribe to the mailing list, send “subscribe unicycling” to
majordomo@winternet.com.
