Oh yes, you have to watch out for those two. lol
I used to be really into recording my dreams when I was younger and I went through a stage where I could control the dream. Then shortly after that I had children and counted myself lucky to get any sleep - dreams didn’t seem so important.
I’ve also drempt a lot lately about unicycling. Primarily because that’s what I like to think about before I fall asleep, rather than my real world worries. I often get that spasmy thing that people can get as you fall asleep (I recently learnt that this is due to the transition in brain states between sleep and wake - kind of a ‘fit’). Often, just before I have one of these spasms I am dreaming that I am falling off the unicycle.
Thinking about it though, I have no idea whether I ever dream in black and white or if they are all (or any) in colour.

I pretty otften experienced controlling my dreams… Now I rarely do, but it’s just because I rarely remember my dreams. And this is because I sleep too little.
Remembering dreams, I suppose, has really a lot to do with a length of a sleep and whether it is sufficient for you or not.
What I discovered is that controlling a dream happens mostly if not exclusively at morning or just a while before waking up. It’s some kind of half-consciousness state, where you’re asleep, yet you’re slowly becoming aware that you are about to wake up and you can change what happens in your dream.
I hope I conveyed my thoughts clearly enough – I’m sorry if not, but then again I’m not a native english speaker.
I agree. (And you have conveyed your thoughts perfectly - I assume). I think we only remember dreams that we have just before or just as we wake up. We probably really have many dreams a night. Probably the more time you can spend ‘dozing’ in the morning and can be in a ‘light’ state of sleep, the more likely you are to be able to both remember and be able to control your dreams. I imagine that if you are woken up suddenly (by the alarm clock or your internal clock) you are less likely to remember your dreams.

I once dreamt I couldn’t get to sleep.
That was an odd one.
thanks, Cathy.
Oh, in my case, when I’m woken up suddenly I still can remember my dream but for a very short period. I’m very quickly, forgetting what it was about. It’s still possible to remember the thing but only when you write it down just after waking up. But it has to be a habit to work, I think…
And what is more interesting is that when I wake up and I remember my dream it often seems soooo incredibly real… I even happend to look for things I dreamt about just because they seemed so real!
Human brain is infinitely strange thing…
I fly in my dreams somtimes. Do you ever fall? Somtimes i sleepwalk and say weird stuff at the same time while I dream.
