I just ordered My First Muni…uhm…help?
Anyone in/around San Francisco willing to coach a noobie?
Otherwise, it’ll just be me, a book, a chain link fence, and probably a whoooole bunch of cussing 
Check out the Berkeley Unicycling page. Sign up for the e-mail list at the bottom. Go to unicycle basketball on Tuesday nights. It’s a great time and place to practice basic unicycling skills with other unicyclists. And, when you feel ready, join us on MUni rides.
Also, bear in mind that a bunch of us are going to Nova Scotia in a couple weeks for Ride the Lobster. So, non-distance riding organized unicycling activities might be kind of sparse until the end of June.
