It’s been a long time since i’ve posted on here.
Anyway, I was wondering how people did with making money from their blogs or websites and what they use. Right now I have adsense and it seems to be getting decent results on this website www.briansfreestuff.com.
What is everyone else using and what kind of results are you receiving?
Adbrite cannot police their own ad network. They have served up ads for a malware/crapware/fraudware scam called Winfixer.
If you want to risk having a Winfixer ad show up on your blog then go ahead and use them. Winfixer is a very aggressive ad. It will redirect the visitor to their site and prevent them from being able to get back to the page they were on at your site. They have used browser exploits to get Winfixer installed in the past. Their software is a fraud and tries to get people to pay them to fix problems on their computer that don’t exist. The Winfixer folks use all sorts of tricks to make it less likely for the web site operators or the ad network to experience the dirty work. The longer they can hide the longer the ad will stay active.
So consider carefully what ad networks you are willing to associate with and what you are willing to subject your readers to.
Well thats good to know, yet on there website it says you can personally decide what ads go on. It also seems beneficial that you can choose the amount when you get paid, which seems nice because a 100 dollars takes forever. (Using Adsense)
