What’s your name? Big Rob
Where do you come from? East Coast
What is your experience of unicycling? After much, much practice, I can now finally say that I have become a rather mediocre unicyclist

Welcome to the forum! Do you want any advice on unicycles, how to get better, or just questions in general? I’ve been riding for about 2.5 years, since 4th grade, live near DC, and love riding.
Welcome, @BigRobPage !
are you only 12-13 years young?
Welcome. Keep the round side down on the ground. The more you practice the more you want to do. What kind of uni riding do you prefer - road, muni, trail, grass, uphill, downhill, sand, water?
Yep. I’ll be 13 in a few months
Wait… from Mastodon/The Fediverse? Nice to see you here. You might know me as “VelocipedeRider” as we follow each other there. #UnicyclesArePractical
EDIT: And now I notice you are on Strava as well, so you gained another follower on that site as well.
Big Rob Page, many places I have been/worked have had a lot of Robs so people started calling me Big Rob, funny thing is no one wants to be Small Rob (but there have been some average and normal size Robs)
I need to learn to idle, I tried to follow the Cornell Dragon day parade but it moved so slowly, only one of the 3 of us on unicycles had a good experience, and that was because he is really good at idling. (good at unicycling in general)
I mostly commute back and forth to the lot I park my car in at work ~.8mi from my office, but sometimes when the weather is nice, I can get a few others to come out to do lunchtime or after work shenanigans. I am starting to try to do a little more off the roads, down curbs, etc. idling is still my nemesis, and after breaking a cotterless axle hopping, I am waiting to build something with an ISIS spline before i mess with that again. I should try riding on water, I have definitely walked on it before so how hard can it be
Since you can hop, little micro hops could help as an alternative to idling (your concerns about the hub aside). Though arguably idling maybe looks more correct in a parade style enviroment anyway.
Well, you are by definition a big guy I guess.
