Yes, I threw out a bunch my weirder equipment back in 2018 or so and it made the list. I tried to give it to @muni_ben but he didn’t want it or couldn’t take it at the time. I still have a few decent regular freewheel unicycles and need to devote my attention to them. I don’t really need more than my Mad4One Flick Flock. However, the 3.8x beast was fun on bike paths and I’m glad I inspired you to get one. If I had more bike paths available I might have kept it.
This looks terrifying and dangerous. I WANT ONE.
I’m curious, but I don’t want to break it.
Besides, I’m not sure that removing the freewheel will make it easier to control the machine.
Mounting on a schlumpf unicycle on the x1.5 ratio is difficult, so with a x3.8 ratio… I’m not sure it’s possible. The freewheel allows a little forward movement when mounting.
I made a short video that I shared on instagram and youtube:

The drone flies in the dark, but the result is still a little dark
On the track, I was able to ride for several kilometers (with a few interruptions) and reach speeds of up to 21kph.
On the 2% false flat, I don’t know how fast I’m going to “climb” (10kph ? ), but I’m probably reaching 25kph on the “descent”.
I love your facial expressions .
Honestly, I‘m impressed that it‘s even possible for you to ride such a beast, considering that the Schlumpf‘s 1.5x is already borderline for me.
But I suppose there‘s no real life use for this hub besides making you a better unicyclist in general. Or do you think you‘ll be able to ride it faster than a Schlumpf at some point? You could of course make an ultra fast g12…
As well as being fun, I think it can help me become a better unicyclist. It can be a good exercise to improve balance and strength.
In good conditions, it should be possible to reach 25kph on the flat, while downhill there’s no real limit (with the freewheel). The small wheel causes a certain instability, which is partly counterbalanced by the high weight of the hub. The complete unicycle weighs 8kg. That’s less than my G36, but it feels heavier, because of the significant difference in bulk.
I would never be able to ride at 35-40kph on the flat with this machine, whereas I can do it with my G36.
That’s about what I was thinking. Thanks for taking the time to reply in detail.
35+km/h on a unicycle is…
…equally suicidal as admirable. My fastest so far was 23.5 on my g29. Have to say, I’m pretty thrilled every time, after riding about as fast as I currently can. The cool thing about speed is that you get a hint of “flow” - something rather uncommon on a unicycle.
