20" or 24" ?

Hi all,

I’m looking for a bit of advice.
I used to ride a unicycle some 15yrs ago. Back then I had a Dave Mariner Ringmaster. I was into juggling then (I am still now, but not so passionate) and the uni was more of a prop for my juggling.

Anyway, I bought a 20" trials a couple of months ago and I’m getting into unicycling street/trials. I’m pretty crap (obviously, after only 2 months) but I’m really enjoying it. I can’t do unispins, *crankflips, grinds etc yet, but I’m working at it. I can rolling hop down 3 steps and I can side hop seat out up the same steps - Just to give you an idea of my erm… skills.

So the advice I’m looking for is this - Should I stick with the 20" or would getting a 24" be a smarter move? It seems like everyone, that does street/trials, uses a 24" and I suppose there must be a good reason for that.

Or should I learn the stuff I want to learn on the 20" then get a 24"?

Thanks in advance,

Cliff

Trials is usually done on a 20 inch.

One cannot have too many unicycles so get the 24 inch later.

Pretty much everyone does trials/street on a 20", 24" street exists but is a style in it’s own. Tricks will be far easier on a 20". For example, I can barely 360 unison on a 24 but I can 720 unison on my 19".

Cheers for that.
Saved me some $ too
