100k WR attempt, May 18th

I’m attempting the 100k WR this Sunday!
It will take place on a ~910 m road loop. I will have to do 110 laps: a first of 873.22m followed by 109 laps of 909.42m.

Starting at 9:00 AM (Paris time / UTC+2), on May 18th.

:round_pushpin: Live lap tracking will be available here:

I will try to do better than @Aurelien and @redwelly

I set myself this challenge because I thought I was capable of doing 100km at over 30kph, now I have to do it!

Good luck! An average of 30mph would be an amazing achievement and I’m sure you can do it! Enjoy!

Records are made to be broken. I hope you pull it off!

Best of luck! I really hope you achieve your goals! :star_struck:

This just boggles my mind on so many levels. The speed is just ridiculous. You are going to complete a 100 in less that 3.5 hours. Surely you have to take a stretching break at some point? Or are you actually planning to grind through in one session?:flexed_biceps:

And what is your gear? A G36? This is just in such a different league to anything I can relate to that I am completely stumped here :joy:

Good luck! Please share more details of your setup etc. after the event …'cause …we wanna know!

Yeah I did it! The official time (to submit) is 3 hours, 6 minutes, 29 seconds.

I had ideal weather conditions; it was hard to imagine such conditions.
The wind picked up for the last 20 kilometers, and I caught a few gusts that scared me a little, given my advanced state of fatigue. But I was able to cross the finish line without having to put my foot down, without even having left the aerobars for the entire race.
I’ll give you more details when I have photos and videos to share. I can already tell you that my unicycle frame is a Flansberrium V-frame :fire: and my pedals are Magped Road1 (magnetic).

There’s a difference of more than 2 km between the GPS data and the official track measurement. It’s frustrating!

Congratulations, very impressive effort!

I would say better to have the GPS say a bit more distance than to get people questioning because the GPS reads less…

Not sure anyone has done 34 mph?
Bravo for the record!

Now that I think about it this would be a good bicycle time!

Congratulations! :tada:
As someone who usually cruises at half that speed for a sixth of that time, I‘m thoroughly impressed.
What‘s next? 24h?

There is a little gap between 30kph and 30mph. I should perhaps have written 30km/h to avoid any confusion.
Today my average speed was 20mph (32.18km/h).

Just to be clear, your OP was well
Understood, it was the 2 posts after sighting
Miles per hour.
But there is for sure more than
a little gap in between
30 MPH and 30 KPH!
Again bravo for your ride!
Time for a century?
100 miles, 160.9 Ks

It’s very rational, but during the effort, when I’ve just been told that I have 3 laps left and halfway through the lap the watch starts beeping to tell me that I’ve done 100 km, it’s not cool at all.
Besides, at 2 laps and 1 lap, I didn’t hear/understand any audible indication of the number of laps remaining (I still heard fictitious bells in my head :exploding_head: for the last crossing of the finish line…). When I finished the 110th lap, I doubted it was over…
