This just convinced me that he’s got a good chance of pulling off the 100miler record.
Great article! A three hour pace for a marathon shows a fair amount of aerobic fitness and dedication which should certainly help with his 100 mile attempt.
I know that running and unicycling both share the fact that energy expenditure is required for movement (unlike bicycling when you have moments you can cease expending energy while still moving).
I suspect the power requirements are different however. It seems to me running would expend energy faster than unicycling. So this begs the question, is running good cross training for unicycling?
Also, I suggest people read the article for what has got to be one of the wierdest quotes from anyone (last line). Knowing some journalists I wouldn’t be surprised if it was out of context and misquoted
