Your Unicycle Wish list

While reading Andrew Carter’s Unicycle Wishlist in another thread.
I thought a moment of it during the week, and I thought it would be good to know what is your favorite Unicycle/s wishlist you ever wanted to had. I got several in mind. As these followed.

1: 4.5" Giraffe Unicycle fitted with a 16" Wheel. (Homemade)
2: 7.5" Giraffe Unicycle.
3: 10" Giraffe Unicycle.
4: 26" Coker or a 28" Coker.
5: 28" Torker.
6: Semcycle 26" Trials.
7: 32" Tourer.
8: 26" Muni.
9: 24" Torker or a 24" Semcycle
10: 20" Trials.
11: 20" Torker.
12: “Z” Shape Giraffe Unicycle. (Homemade)
13: Any Home made Unicycles Just for Fun.

Those are mine, What’s your Unicycle Wishlist. Goodluck Everyone.

David.

They’re short!

(he gloats, pretending he didn’t make exactly this mistake last
week)

As for the wist list:

Now I have a 5’ giraffe on order + my 20" DM and 24" UW, the
only bike on my wishlist is a 26" Muni with hydraulic brake.
(KH’s brake is hydraulic isn’t it? It certainly appeared so).

Cheers,

Stu

Stu.

I’ll make it a bit clearer then.

4.5 Foot Giraffe Unicycle
7.5 Foot Giraffe Unicycle
10 Foot Giraffe Unicycle.

If I make more mistakes, Let me know folks.
And Stu, Many Thanks Mate.

David.

They’re short!

My list is short and sweet:

KH24
KH20
Yuni 29
Coker 32

Re: Re: Your Unicycle Wish list

isn’t this a bit early to start writing out santa lists?
or will gilby engineer email reminders to our loved ones based on our entries in this wish list?
or is this a very clever reversed marketing ploy by our friends at uni.com? find out what they want and then email them with a ‘special offer’ on that particular machine?

cynical?
wait till u get the email

i’ve allways wanted a coker but with the 29er debate hotting up, i’m not so sure anymore…

:astonished: How could you?!?

Andrew

Re: Re: Re: Your Unicycle Wish list

As Lily Tomlin wisely said, “no matter how cynical you get, you can never keep up.”

That being said my wish list is:

 • 5’ SkyCycle (this I don’t need, but having ridden one, it feels great and looks great, too).
 • A 28" or 29" uni - sturdy and light (Yuni 29" or Sem XL Lite)
 • A 20" - sturdy and light (my Schwinn is fine, but just too damn heavy - something Emma could use)

But if Unicycle.com has been keeping track of my email inquiries, they already know this.

Bronsons Coker

,I’m thinking you should take it just a tad further and add a front wheel to that .

I want a six-wheeler like Mark Lippard has:
http://www.marklippard.com/ministry/testimonials.html

I’d also like a two-wheeler. Never owned my own.

And I’ve always wanted a walking machine, ever since I rode Peter Holmgren’s:

Aaron Anderson built one based on pictures of that one.

A 700c or 29" racing unicycle, to see if I’d be interested in pushing it as the new size for racing.

One of Frank Malick’s motorized unicycles from the 60’s.

a Segway (sorry, two wheels, but at least they’re not in line).

A recumbent.

I try to avoid making wishlists… the risk of me spending money I really shouldn’t be spending greatly increases if I have a concrete list to dwell on.

The “I’ll spend the money sooner or later, so it might as well be now so I can appreciate it sooner” mentality is very balance-draining…

Phil

Kris Holm… i don’t need a better uni, but i do need to see someone with some skill, and the videos just don’t do him justice.

matt

The time to finish my walking machine.

 1. Two Wheeler
 2. > 12" Unicycle
 3. < 28" unicycle
 4. Homemade geared unicycle (3:1, 14" wheel)
 5. Better giraffe and freestyle unicycle

And here is another walking machine (scroll down to the bottom of the page)
<http://www.pichlerrad.de/SPECIALS_1.HTM>
It looks like a slightly different design for the mechanical bits than the one on your garage page.

My wish list:
A Blue Shift.

I rode a giraffe over the weekend and it was awsome! I want a 6’ giraffe that is quality and not cheap. I’ve been thinking of buying the Savage 6’ anyway because it was so much fun, but it looks kind of cheap and I’d like a nice one.

A bit of thread-jacking here, but topside, I see you reside at least part of the time in Ithaca (I lived there for 4 years many ages ago). Do you know Hilby the Skinny German Juggler who makes his base in Ithaca? I met him last summer at the Middlesex County Fair here in NJ. Oh yeah, the connection to this thread: he uses a giraffe in his act sometimes.

No I don’t know anyone else that has a uni around here. I saw one guy who looked to be a college student riding thru the Ag quad, and I say another guy on what looked to be a custom 26’’ with a miyata saddle riding downtown, but I never talked to either of them. I usually ride in the plantations, nice roads there.
