yo-yos

does anyone play w/ thwre yo-yos anymore? ive been known to throw some mad tricks in my day (ok so maybe in like elementary school, but any way). i want to get a nother yo yo to brush up on my skills, but i have no idea what one to buy! when i had mine there was something about like x-brains and stuff that was just coming out but a good basic yo-yo was good for me. iremember i had a silver bullet (or something) and i loved it, but i cant find one. so anyone know where i can get a good one for cheap.

thanks

Yeah, I have a couple tins filled with yo-yos. I haven’t opened them for a while though.

One is a SB2. It’s very cool, but pretty pricey. Mine needs new bearings, but they can sleep forever. The downside is that they get nicked up if the string breaks or you misjudge your throw and hit something.

For a lot less money and a bit less performance, you could get a Yomega Powerspin. I have one, and I think I remember it being my last most used yo-yo.

Or, you could get a Duncan Proyo if you want that classic wooden axle feel. (I guess Duncan bought Proyo?)

If you’re serious about tricks, generally stay away from the “brain” yo-yos because they return too unexpectedly. And don’t forget to buy extra strings!

BTW, feel free to shop around, I just googled that store to find those yo-yos. I’m not necessarily endorsing them.
