I’m sure most people here care that other people in the world are stu^H^H^H keen
enough to buy a unicycle.

It might be worth checking that the right crank and pedal are on the right and
the left ones are on the left. It might seem obvious but people have got it
wrong before now - if you ride along with the pedals on the wrong side, they’ll
come unscrewed.

After unicycling for a while, you’ll know what “Thor” means.

Have fun with it. I’m sure you will…

Best of luck, Mark.

Hullo

Just thought I’d let anyone out there who cares that I finally bought my own uni
 I asked here a week or two ago about changing wheel size, but realised it’s
probably not all that practical, and went with a 20". Anyway, I guess no-one out
there really cares, but I just had to share it with someone.

Obviously ye olde Greek gods don’t approve of my new mode of transport though.
On the way home, I dropped into the petrol station for some food, and one of the
forecourt guys who I used to know from school asked “can you ride it?”. So I
said yes, I could ride it, but not right now cause my knees are killing me and
I’m not too hot at it anyway. But somehow he managed to convince me to show him,
so I rode half way across the forecourt, fell off, and realised my right pedal
was on the other side of the forecourt! Luckily we managed to reattatch it since
it had just come unscrewed, not broken. Still, it was a bit of a shock on the
first day on owning it!

And to add to that, as I came up my street, it started hailing and there was a
thunder storm. Not fun  Those Greek gods have really got it in for me. Who’s
the god of Thunder again? I think it’s Thor or something, I can’t remember.

But anyway, thanks for reading my ranting and raving. It’s such a cool feeling,
it’s mine! Now I just have to learn to ride it well enough to play hockey

See ya
