YAY i got a KH 24"

YAY i got a KH 24" from AE bike…
i dont like the Jimmy C. Pedals though…even with the bigger pins they arent grippy enough…
me and my lil bro were ridding it for a few hours and we were riding down stairs and the biggest thing that was jumped down was a 3set…(this was all at about 10 PM and on my deck and sidewalk) and the seat started moving up and down so we had to tighten the rail thing because its got the KH seatpost thats like the bike seatpost and it kinda made me mad cuse i know thats gonna happen alot too…but i like it other than the seat post and the seat is soo comfy…im getting one for my coker now…
AE bike is soo awesome though cuse their shipping was pretty fast…it took a little less than a week for it to come in!!

I got mine last thursday, It’s awesome. I like it alot. I’ve already done a six set and it didn’t even budge.

really…
one footed is soo easy…its kinda funny…

that’s cause the wheel runs so smooth, and the frame is so well designed.

24"s are nice

yah, probably the best size, cause you can do:
Trials
Street
MUni
Distance
Without switching between sizes, cept maybe a 36"

yeah it does run really smooth…
my dad was gonna make some custom frames so he invested in 2 muni wheels with the sun doublewide rim and the gazzoldi tire and the KH crank set on one wheel and the profile on another and we only have the KH laced up…
but we have to get them trued and tightend be cause our LBS laced them up for us but they dont have a truing stand for a unicycle wheel so now we got some good back up parts!!
But im thinking about just getting a KH 24" frame and getting those wheels trued so then i could have my own muni!!

thats probs mor acurate  , but yeah +1

Mine came with Snafu pedals from Unicycle.com. They seem to work fine, but I’m new to this and don’t know if they are the best?

the 2006s came with snafus and the 2007s come with Jimmy Cs…
Snafus are good i used to use them on my old 2004 Kh/summit watchamacalit trials and the pins started to fall out so i put some grippier pedals…
its all about personal preference…

I got my uni from UDC about 3 weeks ago, do you think they sent me a 2006 instead of a 2007??? How can i tell?

u could call UDC and ask?

The first batch of 2007 KH 20’s, 24’s & 29’s came with Snafu pedals as well. the last round of product has changed over to the Jim C’s

ohhhh…
thanks for clearing that up…

No problem. It looks as though UDC might still have some older stock 2007’s that still have snafu’s (Their still advertising them that way and it looks like thats what Cynbad got from them)

its still the same set up though but with different pedals right?

05,06,07

Have the same frame. 05 and o6 uni’s are the same, with the KH/Onza hub,and chromoly steel cranks. For 07 you get the ISIS hub with shiny alloy cranks, and the new drilled rim. I’m glad I have the 05 rim cause the mud here is sticky salt marsh crap. Maybe harder to wash off a drilled rim.
Later 07’s come with JC pedals instead of Snafu. Both pedals are to heavy IMHO, so thats not much of a distinction. You could do a lot worse then twisted pc plastics. Blow a big ten dollars sometime and try it with plastics, if you think it feels light with the JC’s, you will be pleasantly surprised with light pedals.

You just get a muddy rim

The 07 frame is different than the 05 and for the most part is different than most of the 06’s. (Some of the later model 06’s came out with the new style 07 “knurled” crown on the KH 24 eliminating the nubbs or noodles that used to be there.) As well a different style of under frame gusset or extra supports were built into the new 07 frames.

i took it out on a ride today and it was alot of fun…maybe a five mile ride and did some really wierd drops…the biggest was maybe 4.5’ and i didnt land the drop but it had a steep sand like landing and a cactus was in the way…most of the drops were onto steep hills though and i landed the small ones that were like 2.5 feet and i landed those…
the seat feels pretty good but i havent really put enough of a beating on the uni to give a good review of the overallness of the uni…
oh yeah i went to put on some sharper pedals on it so i started to loosen the pedal and the pedal insert started to spin a little less than 1/4"…so i never changed out the pedals and the pedals are too dull for my taste but they will work for now…
