WTF! Moviemaker queshtion

Lately I’m having problems with the “slow-motion” feature in Moviemaker. As I normally do, I find the segment that I want to use slo-mo, then split the clip and add the slo-mo to *just" that clip. But the problem is, the effect “carries” over and continues into the next clip! I check to see that the following clip does NOT have the slo-mo added, but it STILL is in slo mo! No matter what I try, I can’t get the next clip to play at normal speed. Anybody know how to solve this problem? Thanks!

I have that same problem too. The way that “usually” works to fix is: Split the clip you want to slow, move to the end of the line of clips, add the slowmo, then move it back to it’s place.

The solution is to get a better editing program if your computer will run one. I used to use wmm and it had problems like that all the time. It also freezes every 2 minutes.

yeah it’s time that I got something better, but WMM is soooo easy to use. I tried Power director becasue all the reviews said it was super wasy to use-but it was NOT! Any suggestions?

Has anyone tried AviTricks for editing videos? It’s freeware (free as in beer).

If you have used it how well does it work compared to WMM?

Nope. Doesn’t work.

Are you running the latest version? I have the Service Pack 2 release of WMM, and have never had that problem. Other problems yes (crashes, won’t render final video for abosultely no reason). iMovie works better on the Mac, but converts all the raw footage to something else that takes up a b17chl04d more space (150M of raw footage converted to over 2 GIGABYTES of working files).

Premiere is awesome for Windows, if you can find it…

Yeah I have SP2 and 2.1 version which is the most current. For the most part it’s ok, but I really need to upgrade to a professional quality editing program. Thanks!
