Yep. It seemed to me this was the space in the market which you were wanting to fill - and it makes sense to do so.
I’m definitely a fan of the Pulse gloves, they’re comfy, offer finger protection and a bit of warmth, plus they offer more mobility whilst providing wrist support. Also, they look really cool
Ack. I’m considering sticking a splint in the palm pocket, but I may just pick and choose between wrist guards and the gloves, depending on the type of riding. They both offer useful protection and since they’re light there’s no reason not to take both with me. The palm pocket on the gloves definitely seems like it’s a handy thing to have - makes the glove more generic for different uses.
Actually, what would be cool is a glove designed to take either removable padding / gel or a splint (e.g. the palm pocket made slightly longer with another pocket around the wrist to take the tail end of the splint). That way it could be customised by the rider to suit his style - or even the day’s activities.
harbingers are the best. i fall all the time and the splints really distribute the force nicely. i fell straight onto my wrists so hard one time that it gave me a headache, but my wrists were fine. every once in a while i think it would be better if they were full-fingered, but that’s very rarely an issue.
I think I might try the idea of the splint tucked into the pulse gloves. I love the pulse gloves because they’re so robust.
I’m starting to get excited about getting back on the uni, but I’ve still got two weeks til the doc lifts the restrictions on the wrist!
Because the wrap doubles over itself it actualy creates a second pocket to hold the long end of the splint. I ride now always with a splint in my left hand and padding in my right. Keeps my left as safe as possible, as it is my falling hand, and my right protected but able to perform.
