I just learned how to ride a unicycle in 1 day:) I almost can’t believe it, as it was one of the harder things i’ve done at first. My friend and I had a competition going, and while she took 6 days, I did it just today. We had a distance of about 200m to ride.
Everytime I went over to my friends house I would play around on his uni for a few minutes but never really learned to ride it, then one day I practiced for a few hours and all of a sudden I was riding down the street.
Hawo friend, hows it going and welcome to unicyclist.com. There are alot of friendly and helpful people on this forum who are always going to help you as much as we help each other.
To answer your question, it took roughly a month, but hey i’ve been riding for almost 4yrs now. So if you have any questions that need answering, feel free to ask me or any of the very kind, devoted and friendly people on this forum.
Once again welcome to the forums. Take care and have fun.
200m in one go? I think that took me about three years. No kidding. My original unicycle fell apart when I was trying to learn to make turns (after about six weeks of on and off practice). I didn’t get on another unicycle until three years later. After 45 minutes on that one (a Schwinn Giraffe) I could ride more or less indefinitely. Back during the original learning period, I took one ride on a “good” unicycle, a 24" Schwinn. I think I went about 100m on my one and only try. “My” unicycle was a 16" Troxel with a solid plastic tire and a tricycle wheelset.
