I’m not sure if this has been posted here before, but this quiz is really good for discerning your political stance…and it’s short, which is good for all the lazy people out there (e.g., me).
I got the very top corner…I’m as libertarian as can be, apparently. Yay for freedom.
Hmm, I scored in the lower right corner of the Libertarian section.
I think it’s a little too short to get much variance in the answer choices…
But basicly, I don’t want big government, however I also believe the government and the people should have morality, and morality is NOT defined by the individual.
You don’t want big government but you want the government to force YOUR morality on everyone. That’s a bit hypocritical if you ask me. But so is saying that you’re pro-life and being pro-war.
WHoa, I guess I’m a lib…ertarian!
Hey Jeff, you wanna do an afternoon coker ride this weekend? I was thinking either start at the far South end (Torrance beach) and go to the bridge in MDR and back, or vice-versa. I would vote for the first choice, not because it’s closer to me, but because it always seems that there is most usually a nice tailwind coming back south.
Just because you didn’t get the answer you wanted doesn’t make it wrong. It’s plenty long enough…it tests the degree of both economic and political freedom that you promote.
Ok, as biased as this statement is going to be, I think everyone is a lot more “libertarian” then they realize. For years, the entire political spectrum has been divided into the liberal left and the conservative right. I’m sick and tired of being lumped in with liberals because I support drug decriminalization, and lumped in with conservatives because I don’t support gun control.
There are more red states, but that doesn’t mean more Americans are conservative. There are more red states in number, but the higher population states are usually blue. Based on the last two national elections, it’s very close to 50-50, at least among the voting population. It would be great if everyone voted so we could have more accurate counts of political leanings.
Personally I like that we have a social safety net. It allows people greater opportunity to pursue the American Dream, knowing that if it doesn’t work they won’t be completely SOL.
I think that can be a good thing, but I don’t think it’s within the government’s capabilities or, more importantly, its rights to do so. I don’t want to be forced to give my money to people who can’t make it. That sounds harsh, I know, but if I’m going to be generous, I’m going to give my money to a private charity for the poor, not the government. If you won the lottery, and you wanted to give all the money to poor, how would you do it? Through the government, or through your local soup kitchen?
