It won’t load for me…
???
-edit-
nevermind…it did
That’s pretty crazy
Fascinating:
We are producing new computers and bicycles this year at a rate rather greater than world population growth.
And new cars are being made at a rate of about half that of population growth.
World population increasing by 2 per second. New cars about 1 every second.
Any of this you find worrying?

Bicycle production is beating out car production by three to one! That’s encouraging, to me anyways! And bicycles outpacing population growth hints at greater accessibility and adoption.
The only downside is that a greater percentage of people getting around under their own power (especially in the first world!) would add to population growth, with better cardiopulmonary fitness, lower rate of sedentary death syndrome, etc. A greater percentage of cyclists means fewer cyclist crushing death boxes careening around, too.
Reminds me of the movie “Amélie”.

Interesting, but why is “Earth’s weight” in there? To the accuracy that they state (nearest trillion tons) its never going to change surely?
Haha, yes…though I imagine it would be more difficult to calculate how many people are having an orgasm right now…
Heeey, if you change your computers clock to whatever year you want, it tells you the predicted statistics for that year. The Earth’s population will go over 10,000,000,000 in 2046!
Wait, doesn’t “the bible” predict that the Earth will split in two in the year 2025 or something?
I believe the predicted apocalypse is set for 2012…but yes.
