I’m just wondering if anyone else here works out. More so, if you do anything to improve your unicycling skills. I’ve been varying my workout routines and have incorporated a lot of core training. That for the most part that has strengthen my abs deep within. I feel a lot stronger in my mid section and it has helped me ride and control myself a lot better. I did not start working out my core for unicycling, I just found it helped out a lot. But now, I’ve alternated my lower body work out. Hopefully in time I’ll be able to jump higher, easier.
unicycling is my workout lol. I might get a gym membership here at school next semester though.
running will help with stamina and endurance and will help slim you down making climbing hills easier.
Running tires me though. My only workout though is unicycling. Hmmm… maybe I should do something else too . Oh well.
mountain bike! nordic ski! rock climb! swim!
have fun and do it all
i go to the gym 2-3 times a week… and i lpay badminton once a week… and unicycle every night
Swim! i used to train 9 times a week for two hours each session. At that stage i was just off the world breastroke record by a few seconds and have club records. Alas i started work and had to give up.
If anyone is familiar with the beep test my highest ever was 16.2, I have a record at my old school and as for core strength, nothing is better. It is really relaxing too, just swimming back and foreward, i remmember at one stage we where averaging a 2k warm up, about 2.5k in the middle and a 1.5k cool down (about 120 laps of an olympic pool). I would never be able to do that now but i wish i could get back into it. Two of the guys i used to compete with (and sometimes beat) are pulling off olympic qualifying times and one missed out on the commonwealth games due to Tasmania Daylight savings causing his registration to be a day late or something.
I wish i hadn’t given it up, but bloody hell it was hard work.
My idea of cross training has always been
- trials
- road
- MUni
- road uni while juggling clubs
- juggling on solid ground
- running for the train
- doing 12 oz curls [drinking 12 oz beers]
#7 isn’t really part of my work out
