Working for Vacation

So I have just about finished my first month of full time employment, life in the real world.

I enjoy my work, the hours are long and hard (about 50 hours a week, mostly nights and definatly weekends).

I have mondays off to ride and enjoy myself, and I actualy don’t start until late afternoon on weekends which is nice.

The pay is good and I get overtime at time and a half which is pretty awesome, plus kitchen staff gets a small portion of the tips!

The only problem is since I work until about 11 at night pretty much every night except mondays, I rarely get to see my friends, so all I pretty much do is talk to them occasionaly on msn, go riding whenever I have some free time, and work.

I’m curious as to how others find time to enjoy balancing work life, riding, and seeing friends who are in school?

Surely there are some working class people here who have similar problems.

Where do you work? Is this a full time job that you can see yourself in for the rest of your career?

I work at Genji Japanese Restaurant I plan on working there until may 2008, when I go travelling for a long time until money runs out. Then once that happens I will be back in the restaurant game, and since I prefer smaller restaurants to places like hotels it means I will probably be working the same kind of hours.
