Well, today at 5am i woke up, took a shower, got dressed, then remembered i couldnt eat or drink anything, so i sat and played guitar for an hour. Me and my mom left to the oral surgeon and then they took me in, gassed me, put me on a IV, then next thing i remember is sitting in a room with my sweater wrapped around me and a slight pain in my mouth.
Yep, you guessed it! i got my wisdom teeth pulled! all 5 of them! when usually you have 4 but, you know im just full of wisdom and stuff that i had an extra one on the top left of my mouth
But now ive been laying down for about 4 hours listening to every album that rhapsody has put out (might wanna check them out, there a good italian neo-classical meatal band, and they say there music is kinda like a score for a movie, so yeah, neo-classical movie score metal!!!) and now im on here, but im gonna have to put unicycling off for a few days =(
Anyways, how many of you still have your wisdom teeth, or have you already got them out? or has anyone one else here have 5 of them like me?
lucky =p if i let mine grow out it would of crowded all my teeth forward and left some type of pocket thing in the back that would trap food and liquids, which would mean lots of cavities in that area very quickly, not good lol
i got mine pulled last summer. just wait until you have the honor of spraying out the holes with water. very fun, especially when a 2 week old piece of food finally comes out.
lol, my friend got his out last summer and i just use that suringe (sp?) and loaded it with water, then when his sister came in i would jsut spray her, then that turned into a water fight, good times
I have to get mine out the day after my birthday. I was originally supposed to have them out at the end of this previous summer, but I got my first unicycle and well, you know… I couldnt waste the last two weeks before school.
I’ve had most of mine taken out in the chair. Not recommended, unless you can get to that one dentist in White River who took one out without me noticing.
He was telling me about the tools he was going to use and how he was trying them on the tooth to check which one gave him the best grip and he was faffing around for a while and eventually I asked him if he was ready to pull it out now and he just said ‘Done’ and showed me the tooth. It was pretty incredible.
kool, mine wernt even out of the gum surface so they just put me under the knife, and now i have a show to play at my school, hopefully i dont swell up (doubt it) by that time
Mine arent above the surface, and they never will be. They are growing parallel to my gums, right into the rest of my teeth. If they arent removed they will start to crowd the others.
thats where mine were doing, but getting out is easy, if they knock you out you wont feel anything, and if you get lucky like i did, you wont have any swelling, and only bleed for like an hour, i still have a tiny amount of pain if i open my mouth too much lol
In bootcamp, for the USMC, I had both wisdoms on my left side removed, uring training, I had “24 hours of rack rest”. bull! Then after my “24 hours of rack rest” I was thrown back into full training. Gas? bah! Straight up rip the suckers out, well, with a little novicaine of course. It was pretty cool, I wish I got my teeth…
Edit: My bottom one was a fighter, they had to hack it in half, then rip each half out… it was kinda cool cause I could hear the cracking and breaking all through my skull. I don’t think they really know their stuffs, those military medical personel… <_<
got mine out last year some time… they didnt gas me, i got some kind of juice in an IV. I passed out right away and woke up laying on a couch in the recovery room with my feet on the wall and my head on the floor. i was rocking back and forth going… Weeeeeeee! WEEEEEEEEE! and then a nurse walked by and i said HI!!! all perky and excited like. I don’t remember what happened after that for a while… and then when my mom was driving down the highway, i was freaking out because there were roads going in everydirection, up, down, side to side… we were driving through cars… i was going crazy. then we got to the pharmacy and i asked “how long have i been like this?” at least five times… when i finally got home i didnt wake up for a day. then my girlfriend brought me popsicles! overall, there was no pain…i was just kinda high for a while im thinking…
I have all my wisdom teeth and I get to keep them in my head. I was born with two teeth and my wisdom teeth came in when I was about 10 years old. I’ve got a mouthful of teeth that’s for certain.
I lost my wisdom in high school almost 30 years ago, in the hospital because that’s what was dictated by my parents medical insurance.
But what stands out is the get well card my church youth group gave me. Best one I ever got. On the front of the card it said, “Glad to see you getting the color back in your cheeks.” On the inside it said, “Those hospital gowns show everything don’t they?”
