Anyone know how to create a subnet using a second wireless router or access point?

Can a wireless router or access point act as a wireless client of the main wireless router that is connected to the internet (via a dsl modem)?

telco/Inet -c-> dsl router -c-> wireless router -wl-> wireless access point

where:
-c-> = cabled
and
-wl-> = wireless

Any ideas on configuration or websites that discuss such things?
