Ahh! It feels so good! I just woke up about 3 minutes ago, and on my way downstairs from my bedroom, i took a look through the window. Aparently mother nature left us a nice blanket of snow to kick the season off :). Sure it’ll melt today probably, but that means theres more to come! Winter is Here!

Edit: I’m so happy lol. Its a nice 20F (-6C), and bound to get colder =D
Anyone else need to start buying new snow/ski gear?
yep, we got snow here today too. I like snow, it gets a little old after a while since here we never really get dumped on like in other places so you can’t do a whole lot, and i cant uni in the snow. But, since i’m probably gonna start a unicycle club at my high school i’ll probably be able to ride in a nice gym this winter
hahaha… yeah… a lot of our snow has melted already. i’m surprised it isnt all gone though. cant wait for more!
thats what you get for living in the cities peter. lol… Come up here or more likely Duluth, and you’ll see loads of snow (not right now, but in the future)
yeah… i dread summer all winter, and then i’m ecstatic when winter comes again!
Fun fun, Hazzy. What i’d give to have a house in NZ/Australia and one down in Colorado, follow the weather :).
Feels good? Why should it? Winter should mean you little brats start hauling in double-loads of wood and coal instead of measly singles. Winter should mean you stop feeling your toes on your daily jaunt to school, then to the factory, then home if you didn’t have to pull a double shift. Winter should mean you better squirrel away a few bread crusts if you want to have enough energy to shiver the next day, after mom’s lost her fourth job that month.
What do you do now? Do you even push the button that starts your father’s shiny new snow blower? I bet not! Hell, I bet your father even hired someone to push that button for him! Next thing, your mom’s going to hire someone to wipe your butt. You kids don’t do anything these days!
Need new ski gear, cry me a river. I was lucky to get a boot without a hole in it, let alone a pair of boots come winter. Some winters were so bad we had to make soup out of one of our boots, and I’d end up losing a toe or two to frostbite. Sure, we had our fun riding a trashcan lid down the street, even though it meant someone had to take a beating for borrowing that lid. We took our turns, and no one complained. I bet you wouldn’t even know what to do with a trashcan lid!
Bah, I could’ve told you that storm was comin’. My creaky bones are better at forecasting the weather than that know-nothing on TV. I need to find me another blanket…
Early winter left us in a beautiful warm day down south and a rain storm for the rest of the province. A lot of farmers who had crops under that snow will be cursing that rain.
