Well, John Childs, thanks to you I can convert mov. files to avi. files like a file converting machine, so I’m looking to you again. How do you take a screenshot from amovie in WMM? I know I read it somewhere and I’ve taken the tour again as well as read the help junk and I’m still not sure how to do it. I once saved an entire movie as individual frames accidentally but I can’t remember how. Could someone (JC?) please help?
David
I’ve never actually used WMM. I have Windows 2000 and WMM only works on XP.
Someone who has actually used WMM will have to tell you if it’s possible with WMM.
For video screen shots there are a couple of options:
My DVD player software (included with Nero 6) can take a screen capture of the video it plays. It’ll save the screen capture to the clipboard or to a file. Check if your DVD player software can do the same. Nero ShowTime can play WMV files.
VirtualDub can take a screen capture from an AVI or MPEG-1 video. But it can’t read WMV files.
QuickTime player for Windows can also do a screen capture of a video. Pause the video and go Edit >> Copy. It’ll copy the frame to the clipboard. But QuickTime can’t play WMV files.
Thats cool thanks anyway. What about those like gif animated things aren’t those video stills? how do you take a frame out? Like save it as a pic?

in Windows Movie Maker, there’s a little picture of a camera underneath the screen where the movie plays. click the camera when you want to take the screenshot.
