I just bought it, and let me tell you:
It’s all right.
That’s my professional review.

Does he sing, or does he just kind of read the lyrics like he did on some of his earlier stuff?
There’s a very little bit of singing done by Shatner himself, but a ton done by all his guests.
Re: William Shatner’s new album
I cannot imagine any “singing” by William Shatner as being “all right”. Anything (make that everything) he has done in the past has been pretty bad.
Transformed man was bad, but it was hilariously bad.
This is a serious attempt. It’s more like a William Shatner poetry reading. The music is really good though, but that was mostly Ben Folds.
I remember Leonard Nimoy putting out a singing album. Musta been right around 1970. As I recall, it was pretty bad. Anybody remember what it was called and/or any of the songs on it?
NOOOOOOoooooo!
Did you have to remind us of The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins?
Mr. Nimoy actually released numerous albums (14).
The Ballad is on Two Sides of Leonard Nimoy, one of the jewels of my collection.
my personal favourite has to be his heart-warming rendition of “If I had a hammer”…priceless. The video was good too.

P.S. I think I just heard my street cred exit the window quite quickly…
