Will Panspermia reconcile unicycling evolutionists and creationists?

It just might.

It could mean eternal peace on the fora.

Where does life come from? Life comes from space.

Where does life in space come from?

Er… it was designed?

Er… it evolved?

How does the world exist? God made it. Who made God? Er…

See the similarities?

Panspermia only moves the problem back a stage.

It may well be that life evolved in space. It may well be that only in space can the freak electochemical reaction occur that makes the first living matter, which can then seed planet.

Or, for the sake of argument, god(s) could have designed life in space then transferred it to the Earth.

What it could help to answer is the question of whether life on Earth is unique. Many religionists believe that earth is uniquely blessed with life. Many statisticians believe that Earth is fairly average and that it is overwhelmingly likely that there is life elsewhere.

If it could be shown that life formed in the space between the planets, it would shift the odds in favour of there being life on other planets almost to the point of inevitability.

I don’t want peace on the fora. I’ve gained a lot of confidence in arguing for my own point of view here on the fora.

(Peace on Earth but not on the fora   )

I feel the same way actually!
I mean, I want peace, but peace doesn’t mean we can’t still have differing viewpoints and discuss them…but yeah, not only do I know how to better argue my beliefs now, these fora and everyone in 'em have helped shape my beliefs, and try to see and understand the opposite point of view.

Thank you, unicyclists!
