📜 [Wiki] Missing users (help me find our old forum members)

There are still a few users missing here, that were very active on the ‘old’ forum but have not showed up here yet. This is mostly due to the email address used for their accounts does not work anymore (may it be because it’s a ...@unicyclist.com address or beacause they don’t use it anymore). So they may even still don’t know that our forum is active again.

Maybe we can list users that we still miss here so that if anybody has any other contact data of these users, he can try to contact them.

We will then change the users email adress so that they’re again able to log in.

I now contacted few of them that i was able to find via facebook or mail. I’ve already responses, two will come back. Does anyone of you know one of the others?

@Canapin, are we able to log the username filled in when a login fails and then the subsequent email address they enter when they request a password reset? We can then use that list to try to verify if the email and username go together and fix those accounts.

Write “password” in the “Email Type” field and the list will appear.

@Canapin: for UniDreamerFr, you should be able to fix the email by peeking at UniDreamer’s profile on the French forum (convenient to have the same handle+avatar).

I now sent reinvitations to all users that hat invalid mail adresses in their profile but valid ones in that document.

One of these days I will look through the list of previously active users with invalid email addresses and try to connect them to those who are my facebook friends. I can then make a post on FB announcing the upgrade and changeover of unicyclist.com and let people know that they might need to contact us to get their account back. FB allows me to tag 50 people, and tagging those people will likely result in other unicyclists seeing it, since FB will likely show it to people who have multiple friends that are tagged.
