why so pricey?

lately i’ve been having a look at some of the unicycles on koxx-one, and i nearly thought about buying one until i looked at the price, so i started to wonder, whats the point in having such highly priced unicycles? because you can get unis just as good and cheaper, but the only problem is they just look abit naffer… tell me what you think and if you have a really expensive unicycle(£300-£400) tell me how it’s soooooooo worth it and why i should get one anyway. cheers for listnin!

Well theyre, stronger, lighter, and normally better made. Kris Holm unicycles are deffinetly worth the money though. The koxx unicycles are good, but are heavier than the KH, and i personally think theyre not as strong and well built as the KH. If you want a good, cheaper unicycle, get a nimbus and upgrade the cranks to KH Moments.

Welcome to the forums by the way! ask us what ever you want to know, im sure some one will have the answer, we’re here to help.

or someone will make one up

or that, but its the thought that counts:p . no we are nice in reality

Welcome to the Forum Cheesedonkey888. We will try to answer any questions truthfully. This forum is great. much better then the other forum I frequent www.mbpost.com.

I too was surprised to see unicycles that cost more then my hardtrail bike. but you can get a good uni for $300+/-. I got a great deal on a used Yuni journeyman on this site.

Koxx Ones are so popular because they have their looks. Their cranks are also good for flatland and they have pretty good strength. Good unicycles are so expensive because the demand for them isn’t much. If they sold their unicycles for cheaper, they would be making much less profit.

By forums at I mean as a whole (Unicyclist.com forums). I can not be held responsible for other’s posts in the wrong areas.

He (cheesedonkey888) is a newbie, I forgive him.

I think it has a bit to do with where you live

In the USA you can get a KH for about 400 $ if you email A E B and ask for a promotional price.

This compares very well with the Nimbus, in that you pay about 100 $ more, but you get a lighter uni with the alum frame and KH seat.

I get the impression that KH’s cost more then this in Europe, where Koxx 1 seems more popular.

In the USA you pretty much just find Koxx 1 at Renegade, you can’t get them through QBP shops at a discount like you can buy KH. So in the USA most people will buy KH, unless they can’t stand blue. The Koxx quality is good, but most people are going that way because they will pay a little more for the custom color.

The Koxx xtp is a truly excellent uni. At that point, you are paying a few hundred dollars over a KH mostly for exclusivity. At any event you go to, they will look at the only xtp they have seen. Whereas , every other rider is on a blue KH.

cheers scott i might just do that, i already have a nimbus but i think tht its only worth gettin the kh moments when i break the stock nimbus cranks.
