Could be they didn’t have as much choice on when to have the four flights in the air at the same time. Also maybe 15,000 people is enough. Maybe just knocking down the buildings would be enough for them, but they had to do it in the daytime so everyone could see it. Still, they chose a weekday rather than a weekend, guaranteeing more people in the upper floors.

True. I’d agree it was more about toppling an American icon and showing how susceptible we were to such terrorism. 3,000 deaths got the point across.

So they targeted symbols of American financial and military power… where does everyone think Flight 93 was headed? White house or Capitol building or something else?

Edit: Oh, John, I saw on the History Channel that the WTC was designed to withstand a bomb several times larger than the 1993 attacks, strong Earthquakes, 200 mph winds (short term) or a category 2 Hurricane for 50 consecutive years. Designers also said it would withstand being hit by a plane. Afterwords they said it would have been fine had the fuel not weakened the metal.

I heard that the one that hit the Pentagon was supposed to hit the White house and 93 was supposed to hit the capitol…(or vice versa). But the conspiracy theory says it wasn’t a plane, but a missle that hit the pentagon.

I watched spare change. Some of it seemed logical…some of it seemed like total bullshit. One thing that stood out to me was that they said that something like 12 of the supposed hijackers were said to have still been seen alive (individually, not in any one place) by independant parties who would have (seemingly) no reason to lie.

I doubt the government would shoot a cruise missle at the pentagon. Just because there is little debris doesn’t prove anything. They showed several instances where planes crashed with almost intact engines and large sections of fuselage. But these were planes that crashed into fields after trying to slow down. The 9/11 plane accelerated into the largest office building in the world (bigger than either WTC building) which was also fortified to house military personnel. The fact that a camera close to the pentagon didn’t catch the plane is also not proof, that camera was very close, and would have only captured a few dozen feet of the planes flight path. A plane traveling at 300mph or so would have flown through almost instantly.

If it was a missile, wheres the plane, and where are the American citizens who were onboard, and what is keeping them quiet?

You do make good points. I don’t really believe the theories, but i do think its interesting.
