If you’re concerned with annonimity, don’t respond. But I think it would be interesting to know:

When you’re not unicycling, what do you do in real life.

Not only is this my first year with the unicycle, but I’m also a first year
student at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (http://www.cmcc.ca)
I find it interesting how varied the backgrounds are of all the unicyclist
I’ve met.

Erin

Cadillac mechanic for the past 32 years, somewhat retired from motorcycle racing, mountain bike racing and water skiing. I’ve still got all the toys, but unicycling has taken up most of my free time that was previously devoted to those other sports

I’m in year 11 (11th grade… maybe)

Last year of school, then I’m doing an apprenticeship as an electrician

Joe,

General Adjuster. Which is a fancy title for someone who does insurance claims from $0 to $Infinity and beyond.

I’m a gap year student, going to uni next year, to Aberystwyth in Wales (mmm… mountains…), to do Computer Science. There seem to be a lot of computer people answering this thread - is that a reflection of the unicycling demographic, or just that this is an online medium?

  • Sam

I am a grade 12 student, in Canada, heading into a Theatre arts programme next year.

Well, I’m in ninth grade, in Moscow, ID, and stuff.

I’m an engineering consultant in risk, reliability and program / project management. The company I work for does things such as building and evaluating complex systems / process models and try to estimate probabilities of failure. Most of my company’s clients are large facilities such as nuclear power plants, chemical plants and refineries. We’ve also recently done work on some Space Shuttle systems for NASA.
