In the wake of the recent news article, I have received emails from two women who were members of a Central PA unicycle club in the 1970’s called the Whir Wheels.
Does any one have recollection of this group?
If John Foss didn’t start the group, he would surely know of them. 
Nothing off the top of my head. Was it Whir or Whirl? It sounds familiar. The place to look is in early issues of the Unicycling Society of America Newsletter. Someday we will have them on CD, or have an index of those things (or both), so we can look things like that up…
There are probably a lot more old, defunct unicycle clubs out there than there are currently active ones. Just keep that in mind.
