Which truing stand?

A question for those who might know…

My largest tire is on my KH29 and that’s a 3 1/4" Duro Crux for winter and a 3" Maxxis Minion for summer.
My spare is a 29" Oracle with a 2 1/2" Maxxix Minion.

I want to purchase a truing stand.
I’m looking at the Parktool stands with callipers.

Will a TS-2.2 (or P) work with a uni wheel adaptor (for the stand) and the plus size tire while mounted?
How about the TS-4?

Is there something else reputable stand wise?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks UniMyra.

I haven’t seen the KH adapters for sale in quite some time. They would be easy to make though.

I would use a uni frame and make a nice feeler for it. Ultimately you will have something that is at least as accurate as a Park stand, if not more. Also, it will be purpose built.

My truing stand works well with uni wheels without adapters, I do have to wrap the spindle with paper since it spins inside the axle pistons, but that’s not a big deal. I don’t know if it would work with a fat tire installed. It’s a VAR Atomic truing stand. I may pick up a couple of “live centers” (lathe part) to hold the wheel in the vole holes, then I wouldn’t have to worry about the paper on the spindles.
