Hi (again)
my bro keeps on nagging me cause hes trying to just ride the uni and hes having difficulty at it because he doesent no wether he should hold the seat with 1 hand hold it with 2hands or dont hold onto it. I tell him i hold onto it with 1 hand but what does everyone else do hold the seat with 1hand 2 hands or none.
ty now hopefully hell leave me alone lol.
i ride with one hand, but for begginers, you’d get more balance without any hands. Jumping with 2 hands IS possible, although most of the people here probably dont recomend it, ive saw a video of someone hitting upwards of 91cm seat in front hopping with both hands on the seat.
For jumping, ride with one hand, for riding, sometimes with a hand. It’d help more for a beginner to learn balance without any hands on the saddle. Ive taught a bunch of people, who hold onto the seat right away. They get maybe 2ft that way. I told them to take their hand off, and put their arms out, and their distance increased to around 10ft.
kl but how many hands do u hold for jumping and if none what do u do cause i thought u pulled up the seats.
1 hand for jumping.
But i have saw a succesfull trials guy do 2 hands, although its highly NOT recommended.
but yes, 1 hand for jumping, whichever one you choose.
kk ty
You should be thank full Mrs. A isn’t here. The spelling is terrible.
It’s best to hold on with one had, because you can use the other to keep balance when leaning into a hop. I’ve seen some people get huge height with 2 hands, but isn’t recommended.

Am I the only one with the dirty mind and laughed out loud at the thread title?
Well I usually go with the right, but occasionally I’ll throw in some left hand action to reach a few more nerves and make it just feel really -
Oh, you’re talking about unicycling.
and then, if you feel like it, you can take both hands at once and - how many posts in this thread does it take to turn it into a sex topic?
I’m surprised it took this long.
thats what she said!
That was one of the best thats what she said things I have seen in a wile!
The fact that he FTFY’d it kinda sullies the humo(u)r, though. But it wasn’t bad.
I also laughed really hard when I read this. I thought it was a thread dedicated to mastering the bater. Right hand though. Left is back up, cramps.
or sprained wrists. or bruised wrists. I fell once during the winter skiing… bruised my right wrist. those were hard days…
Get a girl, then you can have both hands free for video games.
Yep. Fun fun.
On topic, when learning, or casual riding, no hands, so you can swing them out for balance when you need it. I usually sometimes have one hand stiff-arming the saddle when I ride though, that takes pressure off my perineum, and that really helps when riding distance on a 20" uni. Also, with one hand on the seat, Im always ready to react to bumps, drops, stairs, and whatever I ride into. If im riding around I mainly keep both hands on the saddle, specially on a bigger uni, it gives my hands a place to be, and looks better I think, and I can apply pressure to keep pressure of the crotch better than I can with one hand.
As said by unibike, two hands can be used for jumping. It isnt really recommended to do, but there isnt much harm in doing it. The preference is one hand when jumping. With one hand out, you have more leverage so longer, higher, more controlled jumping and balance. I guess it looks better too.
some people like to swich as it feels diffrent.
kl but remember im only 15 and some of the things ur talking about is wrong really rong lmao
What you just implied sounds like the ultimate male fantasy that most, if not all men can only dare dream of.
