I live in New York in Long Island. Are there any groups or individuals that can
teach me to ride a unicycle? Also where can I buy a Unicycle in this area? any
information would be appreciated?

I though Long Islanders lived ON the island, not IN it 
Until recently there was a unicycle club called the Long Island Unicyclists in
Westbury. Unfortunately, the guy who started it (me) moved to California in 1994
and there is no more club. There are, however, unicyclists scattered all over
the place. Part of this is thanks to Bill Jenack, founder of the Unicycling
Society of America, Inc. Also it is thanks to the many P.E. teachers in the area
who have introduced unicycles as part of the programs in their schools.
Tell me where you live and I can try to suggest some names and numbers for you.
