If someone killed John, please tell me who is his replacement, or if this
webring is dead. If the ring is dead, then let’s get on with life and bury this
ring. Does anyone know?
Of course as with many web sites, there’s no forwarding e-mail or contact
information. I’ve submitted a couple of inquiries to John with their online
form, but it’s like talking to a brick wall.

I think this has been ongoing for a while. It looks like this webring either
needs a new master, or to be replaced by an active one (with a less ugly logo).
I am going to comment out the Webring section on my site, and hope to join a
ring again when an active one becomes available.

The webring is set up (I believe) where you can actually go in and add
yourself to it.
Of course, this was before the nasty Yahoo takover of Webring. I gave up all of
the webrings I managed when Yahoo took over. They were just too difficult to
manage under Yahoo.

The Yahoo webring is set up to automatically submit your site to the webring
manager, who must approve your site before it gets added to the others. It’s too
bad that the webrings are hard to maintain, because they group all the related
sites together.
