Wheelbarrow

I tried to use a wheelbarrow a couple of months ago, just for fun, and
It worked quite well! My Mother was working on redoing her garden, and
she asked me if I could go and empty the wheelbarrow. I happened to be
tring to learn to idle at the time (I can do it now) and I rode up and
grabbed the handles, and started to ride around with it. It was alot of
fun, until I dropped it and flew into it, knocking it over! I had fun
picking it all up! Oh well, it was fun while it lasted!!!

Re: Wheelbarrow

Here is an interesting piece of trivia. The Japanese word for unicycle,
ICHIRINSHA, also means wheelbarrow! In fact, before the unicycling boom in Japan
that was the only sense normally associated with the word, and people in the
construction industry still associate ICHIRINSHA with wheelbarrow rather than
with unicycle.

They are, after all, both one-wheeled vehicles! For you unicycliong taxonomists
out there, take note the next time you define “one-wheeled vehicle” as a
generic class that includes unicycles and monocycles. Give the wheelbarrows the
respect they deserve!

Strangely enough, the Hebrew CHADOFAN, with a slightly different spelling,
also means both unicycle and wheelbarrow! Any other languages that have
both meanings?

Re: Wheelbarrow and dogs

I have tried walking my dog also, except he likes to stop and go to the bathroom
a little to often, and I have other things on my mind so I don’t just stop and
idle, oh well! I guess I should pay more attention.
