Depends on my mood. If I’m driving down the highway with the windows down/music blaring (I know, I’m a bad person. Sorry.), it’s Rock You Like a Hurricane by the Scorpions.
If I’m listening to classical music, it’s the 4th movement from Dvorák’s New World Symphony, or Holst’s “Mars” from The Planets.
I can’t really answer what my favorite song is, though…I have a lot.
That’s part of the challenge, to pick just one.
Me and Bobby Mcgee, Janis Joplin.
Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Pt.2 By the Flaming Lips. That song makes me all kinds of happy.
I recently found out that Janis didn’t actually write that song…her cover is just the most popular version of it. It was written by Kris Kristofferson, whoever that is…kinda disappointed me.
ANYWAY, I have lots of favorite songs, but my very favorite I think is Across The Universe by The Beatles…right now it is, anyway. Changes a lot.
Groans. Yanks out clumps of hair.
Hahaha sorry…anyway, he can’t possibly be as good as Janis.
I would have to say Fighting Dreamers, I have no idea who its by, but its the opening song to Naruto.
Show me your booty hole… best song E-V-E-R!
My favorite song today is Jefferson Airplane’s White Rabbit.
Yesterday it was a toss-up between Procol Harum’s Whiter Shade of Pale and Bob Dylan’s Lay Lady Lay.
Like Mister_Potter, my favorite song varies from day to day.
Far, far too much to choose from but like monkeyman said, it depends on the mood.
“Bloody well right” by Supertramp rates pretty high in my book; that and maybe another 1,000 various songs, from straight forward rock, oldies, pop and even some Schubert song cycles and Gershwin as well, like “Summertime” is awesome!
I love Jefferson Airplane, and that song of Dylan’s is definitely one of his best!
it changes constantly but now it is war pigs by the black sabbeth
i have many favorite songs… a constant is Mr. Tamborine Man by Bob Dylan.
today’s favorite though is… blushes a Cat Stevens tune.
Father and Son. it’s freakin’ good!
Joplin wrote preciously few of her songs.
She was a singer.
(You know what I mean?)
At the time he was more of a ‘journeyman’ songwriter and he actually wrote the song and ‘gave’ it to her.
They’d been occasional lovers and I reckon that song was a better gift than chocolates.
Kristofferson’s ‘biggest’ hit, Sunday Morning Coming Down, was also originally performed and recorded by Cash.
Kristofferson only later gave in to pressure from several of his contemporaries and started recording his material himself.
Whoever he was?
He was the guy who wrote this.
That song is in my top 10.
The Deep, Dark, Truthful Mirror by Elvis Costello.
My guilty pleasure is the BBC song by Mike Myers, sung at the end of the first Austin Powers movie.
Cat Stevens is probably my favorite singer…EVER!
My favorite of his is The Wind, I think…but Father and Son is amazing too.
Hard to say…I go through different song phases like most people do, but there are a few that for some reason, I can always listen to:
-Fight for your Right - Beastie Boys
-The Final Countdown - Europe
-Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
I could list more but I just wanted to put the first 3 that came to mind.
