CRAWFORD, Texas - Some families are boycotting Thin Mints and Do-Si-Dos and other Girl Scout cookies. Troop 7527 is down to just two members after the other girls were withdrawn by their parents. And Brownie Troop 7087 is no more.
Why are folks in this conservative Texas town where President Bush has his ranch so mad at the Girl Scout organization?

I like Samoas but I liked them a lot better when they were 50 cents per box and you actually got a box full of cookies.
Be reasonable man. Promoting and funding abortions doesn’t come cheap.
The Samoas are sooo good. Oddly enough I’ve never seen most of those names on the cookie boxes, they’re usually named something else.

I thought the point was that the girl scouts made the cookies? They look way too professional to me.
The company with the lowest bid makes the cookies. The girls just sell the cookies. Quaker Oats made GS cookies several years ago, I don’t know who makes them now.
A big complaint about the cookies is that you buy a box big enough for maybe 20 cookies and it will have 10 cookies in it.
Ive grown a distaste for them…My sister does the girl guides thing so every few months we have a brand new box of em in the house. But when i do crave them the thin mints reign supreme

being a former girl scout, i can say that the best ones are the tagalongs and samoas. yum! so so so so good.

None. They have trans fat. There’s no excuse for that. Throw them out. That’s what I did with mine (after I read the box).
I will fully support the Girl Scouts by buying their cookies – once they take the trans fat out.
