Thats super rad
BUCK 65 y’all!!! (ok, he’s not a band…)
The guy is my role-model… I don’t know of any music that I can relate to on the same level as I relate to this guy’s… i can’t get enough of him. We share the same values and seem to have the same outlook on life.
I’d have to say sleater-kinney. Or Rise Against. Or Goldfinger. Or less than Jake. Or 800 octane. (defect got me hooked!) Or maybe Bad Religion.
Unwritten Law,
800 Octane (thanks to Universe 2)
Franz Ferdinand.
…Rubber…
A little known Canadian Punk band. The Forgotten Rebels.
I saw the Aquabats over in Tampa once…
The Doors
Cream
NOFX
Grateful Dead
Dropkick Murphys
Jethro Tull (can’t wait to see them Nov 29th!)
Sublime
The Doobie Brothers
agh, it could go on…
One of my favorite bands has to be Johnny Quest and the Forum Searchers.
On the reggae front, I also like one band that used to be kind of small time, but has unfortunately now gone mainstream. Check out these guys: Too Lazy to Search, Mon.
Tom - so acerbic, so dry… ;0)
Saw Motörhead this week - possibly the most rock and roll rock and roll band ever. That’s three times I’ve seen them now, and I remember buying Ace of Spades when it was still in the charts. Concert was Tuesday. left ear still ringing now (Saturday).
In terms of most CDs in my collection, top bands would be Modern Jazz Quartet or Dave Brubeck Quartet.
In terms of knowing all the words and singing along, then it’s Buddy Holly and the Crickets. (I saw the Crickets live a few years back, but without Buddy, they are just a capable little country outfit.)
In terms of admiration for song writing and living the rock and roll lifestyle, Chuck Berry - saw him live in 1991 (?) on his Sweet Little 61 tour. An all time great.
Most played current CD? Possibly Hayseed Dixie.
As Hayseed Dixie say, show me a man with only one type of music in his collection and I won’t want to drink beer with him.
Greenday
BonJovi
Most of the music I like is by individuals, not bands.
Cathy
Tool
Pink Floyd
Dream Theater
Iron Maiden
Guns n’ Roses
Virtually nothing recent.
All I can say is, whatever comes after hip-hop had better be good…
Depends… Korn, Lamb of God, Pantera are all badass… primus and incubus are good to
