What's the best giraffe unicycle to buy?

Hey anyone out there know what the best 5 to 6 foot giraffe to buy is? I need one thats light as I skip on it and also breaks down small would be great. Any ideas I have a couple already just standard ones but looking at buying a more professional kind, also is it better to have a 16 inch wheel I normally used 20 inch, anyway anyone out there that can help?

Cheers

Hi there,

Personally, I’ve had my eye on this one

http://www.unicycle.co.nz/View.php?action=ProductDetail&Code=PerformerGiraffe

It looks like a very well constructed, strong and durable giraffe unicycle and I hope to get one for myself when I’m a little better at riding.

Please understand that I’m fairly new to unicycling, but this is just a nice one I’ve had my eye on! If anyone would like to turn around and say it isn’t very good, please feel free.

Hope this helps!

Many thanks

Mark Watson

Hi there,

Hazmat - the link you posted doesn’t work for me. Is it on any other website that you could link us to?

Many thanks

Hi there,

Thanks for the new link! You’re right, this is a great unicycle! Looks very well made and probably handle really well too I’m sure!

Many thanks

HAZMAT

P.S I’ve added you to my buddy list too also. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve got the TX. I haven’t done anything too hard on it, but I noticed the frame was slightly bent from when I accidentally fell and didn’t manage to catch it before it hit the ground. Still good.

I recommend the Nimbus 3 wheeler. but it looks like it’s not available in the UK or NZ…

no the nimbus 3 wheelers are almost impossible! i could ride a 5 foot giraffe after 5 minutes but a 3 wheeler is crazily hard

are you talking about freemounting? that’s really hard because it’s 6 feet tall… I can’t freemount my 3 wheeler yet but I can freemount a 6 footer.

no i used a ladder but its just harder to ride a 3 wheeler compared to a 5 ft giraffe, i havnt free mounted either of them, the 2 wheeler is even worse, its impossible!!

I haven’t tried the two wheeler yet, once I’m up on a 5 footer and riding I feel the same as I do on my 3 wheeler just about a foot higher.

fair enough, i prefer the giraffe anyway, expecially the double chain one mark posted

Hi there,

Do you have the giraffe uni I posted on here? Whats it like? PM if you like.

Many thanks

Mark

no i havnt sorry mark, but i think its the best, other than the carbon fiber one, after borrowing one from the lbs i really wanted one, now i realise ill never use it and i dont have the money. life is cruel :frowning:

I am falling in love iwth the nimbus double chained giraffe from UDC, its only 288 USD, holdin strong so far and rides like a regular 20in

Hi there,

Unicaw89 - Do you own this giraffe Uni of which you speak? Is it good?

If you don’t already have it, I would get it! I’ve had my eye on it for a while!

Many thanks

Mark

I’m in Australia and looking into giraffes
Sorry for the thread-jack (cant find any good giraffe discussion threads) but is this one worth the $155 more than this one
