Certificate for a 1-hour “combat training” flight in a T6 Texan. This is a single-engine WWII trainer. Also it’s a class of plane that they race at the Reno Air Races. I get to work the landing gear, fly some, including doing a loop! This came with a copy of the T6 manual that was given out to pilots for the plain back in the WWII era. It should be really cool! The flight will not be until July though.
But the main gifts, of course, were good loving family, good health, and some good weather yesterday! It was perhaps 70 degrees, and we went for a bike/Coker ride aroung Lake Natomas. And there’s a lot more dirt trail paralleling the pavement than I knew about. I’m going to organize a Coker ride there soon…
Today’s weather is crap; rain, rain rain. And it’s melting all the snow up in the Sierras, where we’re supposed to head up for skiing tomorrow!

A reaction game! It´s really cool, you have like a handle with a button on it, and this song is played, and when the song stops you push the button, the winner can laugh at the others who gets an electric shock.
I have a friend who has a game just like that! but instead of the song, its a flashing green light, and when it turns red you have to push the button. its so much fun (: even though I’m always the slowest…but still, fun. I like doing it with one in each hand.
a king crimson box set and a soon-to-be-ordered 24" trainer. you may scorn the trainer, but at least it’s a proper, unicycle.com-bought one rather than my really dodgy ebay 20", which has over the past few months needed new cranks, seatpost and seat.
most of my presents await me when i get back home.
