What Unicycle do you want for Street tricks and stunts?

I’ve never unicycled but it looks like a lot of fun and I want to try it out, I’ve read up on some stuff, but most info is scattered around different sites. I’m interested in doing some tricks on a unicycle in a urban setting more like street skateboarding. If I was to get a unicycle, what would I want to get to suit street tricks?

Depends if you know you’re going to stick with unicycling for a long time!

If you know you’re comitted, go straight for a KH (kris holm)

they’re really good quality, and a lot nicer to ride than the other options you can get in the US.

Otherwise if you want a cheaper option, go for a Nimbus with ISIS cranks and hub

It’s still a good quality unicycle, but lacks the awesome-ness of a KH, and if you start doing jumps and things you’ll most likely bend the cranks.
I made the choice of buying a nimbus uni first, and i’ve slowly been buying upgrades for it, and it has now become a full KH, except I paid like $300 more.

The good thing about a Kris Holm uni is that you won’t break it for a long time, and you won’t need to upgrade it :wink: Just make sure the uni you purchase has ISIS splined cranks and hub.

Anyone correct me if I’m wrong about this, but it’s my view on buying unicycles lol. :smiley:

It really depends on what sort of Street you’re talking about…

The setup above looks good for trials / big street but if you aren’t going to be doing crazy jumps, a less expensive uni’s just as good. Koxx-One seems to be going on offer these days and a Nimbus or Qu-Ax for that matter are very affordable alternatives to learn with.

If you’re heavy though, go for a KH. You won’t break one.

I agree with Safey’s response. Although a Nimbus with Kris Holm moment cranks will also suite you very well. The only thing weaker on the nimbus if you get Moments may be the seat (depending on the stock seat) and the post.

That was my setup for a loooong time :roll_eyes: Did me fine
But after buying KH, i’m never turning back lol.
