What to get a boy who loves to Unicycle

Hi,

I’m trying to figure out gifts to get my boyfriend who loves to unicycle. I don’t ride and I don’t know much about anything in the unicycling world. So I figured I would come to the people who know their stuff, and would probably give me the best ideas. I would really appreciate the help!

Thank you!!!

Welcome Sunshine, it’s nice of you to do that for your bf. It would probably help to know his age and if you know what type of unicycle riding he does or likes.

He’s in his early 20’s and I don’t really know what Unicycle. If I remember correctly it’s a Nimbus.

Another Unicycle

What is your budget and do you know what size unicycle it is? Most likely it’s going to be either a 20" or 24" if you measure across the tire will give you the size.

Looking around here might give you some ideas: http://www.unicycle.com

If it is a nimbus, an upgrade to a Kris Holm seat might be a good choice.

A female riding partner?

you need more info nobody can really help you if they dont know anything

If it’s a Nimbus as ezas said upgrade KH seat or maybe upgraded KH cranks if he doesn’t already have them but you’d have to figure out what size cranks he has or would like to have. The size is imprinted on the inside of the crank arm.

Shin pads, unless he already has some.

I believe his Nimbus is a 20" I don’t have the money to buy him another Uni, I’m sorry, I should have said that in the question. The seat and cranks are both good ideas, and I know he talks about Kris Holm and his products a lot

Get him a Impact saddle (http://www.renegadejuggling.com/Web_store/web_store.cgi?page=KoxxDevParts.html&cart_id=5537943.8841) or Kris Holm cranks (you would need to find out what length he wants). That’s what I’d like, so I guess he’d like it.

get him some t shirts
parts are very expensive and you’d have to ask him what he needs and lots about the unicycle
if you get clothing, i’m sure you won’t have a problem getting his clothing size.

i didn’t see anyone mention the cheaper option of a kris holm dvd.

Maybe a “present card” (I really don’t know what the word is in English!) - meaning: You pay some money in advance to e.g. unicycle.com and your friend can then order the parts he wants for that amount.

Or maybe buy him a helmet if he doesn’t have one. Or some good tools for changing cranks and pedals etc. That would be useful.

Best regards,
Sanne

Beer.

Oh, the idea about a t-shirt is good: http://www.unicycle.com/unicycle-accessories/apparel/apparel-mens-sizes/chick-magnet-t-shirt-large.html

I second this

shin pads would also work

I thought shin pads as soon as I read the title.

Thanks for the idea’s everyone!!

I agree that shin pads, or a unicycling t-shirt are both great ideas. Shin pads are a necessity for some styles of riding, and everyone loves t-shirts!

Parts can get expensive though if you get him decent ones. If shin pads or t-shirts are out of the question, I would suggest a gift card. I think - I don’t know - that Unicycle.com could provide you with said gift card.
