Well i used to never listen to tunes while riding, but this has changed the last week or 2.
I listen to punk-rock, rock, along with a little bit of heavier stuff… some Aussie hip hop (hilltop and 1200 techniques) too.
Mainly stuff that gets me amped.
Examples of the groups are: Millencolin, Goldfinger, 28 Days, Hilltop, 1200 Techniques, After the Fall, Ballpoint, Behind Crimson Eyes, Foo Fighters, Fallout Boy, Grinspoon.

I mostly listen to “The Search Feature.” When I’m riding.
i listen to quite a variety but mostly i listen to alternative rock- tool especially
its very medidative at times and puts me in the right frame of mind
blink 182, linkin park, yellow card, lostprophets, coldplay, plain white T’s, red hot chili peppers, and I like french rock and rap.
Death metal.
metal.
jam bands.
chill stuff.

Whatever’s playing on my tiny mp3 player at the time cos the menu system is too fiddly to me to be bothered to change the album. It could be:
Billy Joel
Meatloaf
Greenday
Gnarles Barkley
David Grey
James Blunt
Something country
lots of other stuff.
For my recent (epic!) 30 mile ride. I think it was Billy Joel, Meatloaf and David Grey.
Lots of stuff.
Last night, I switched over to the Shiny Toy Guns and really enjoy listening to that while riding.
Then again, I also have stuff from Gojira, Necrophagist, Dream Theater, Symphony X, COB, Schoolyard Heroes, Sia, Rush, Leaves Eyes, Dio, Rhapsody, Queensryche, Prodigy, 2pac, 4 non blondes, b-52s, Cannibal corpse, Blind guardian, Lots of classical music/opera, Cirque Du Soleil, Daft Punk, Kamelot, Journey.
There is a lot more than that too, so yeah, I got a nice variety going on.
I never listen to music while riding unless I’m riding indoors in a gym and there happens to be a boombox playing.
When I’m out for a ride on the Coker or bike I want to enjoy the ride itself and not be jamming to music. I also want to be fully aware of my surroundings. Being aware of the ride and riding for the ride is the Zen. Riding with music going on has no Zen.
No music for me. I don’t even own an mp3, nor do I want one. I’d rather be able to hear cars and all the odd stuff pedestrians say.
was there not just a thread on this…i dont care becasuse I probably do it all the time but…i like Relient K, Switchfoot, The Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Greenday…And stuff like that
ur a really nice person ya no that
When I have my CD player with me, I listen to Bob Dylan, Arlo Guthrie, NRG Ensemble, Janis Joplin, AC/DC, Mr. Bungle and stuff like that.
Wow…I wasn’t aware someone could convey such dripping sarcasm with spelling that bad.
Props, timmy!
