What job(if any) do you have and why

Baby-sitting

Why:

  • Watch family guy all night
  • get paid £10/ hour
  • Occasionaly free food :)

I ride a little tricycle around the beach selling ice cream. It is my first job and It’s the first one I applied to.

I used to work for the Naval Air Museum at Barbers Point. It was pretty fun, I got to clean helicopters, take apart huge field tents, ride in jeeps that were in the korean war, I was going to drive a tank but the person who had the key was on a vacation, and I did some other stuff like painting curbs. If you’re ever in Hawaii check out that place. It’s got some pretty cool things.

What: Quiznos employee
Why: Because it’s fun, I need the money, and I like talking to customers

It would be easier to list the things that I don’t do.

What don’t I do? I don’t work.

Tim Hortons “dishwasher” (bus-person, janitor, giver of bad directions to lost tourists.) Pays no more than anywhere else. I would complain, but there’s nothing better around that is within unicycling distance.

And I need the money.

bucking hay- i have a love hate relationship with hay but it puts money in my pocket.

volunteer firefighter- on my way to being a career firefighter so i’m getting experience and plus it’s the FUNNEST job you can ever have.

OH! i almost forgot that a sponsorship is a job lol.

What else: 661 level 1 sponsorship (level one, yeah, for now that is)

why: financial support, easier to help grow the sport sorta.

Do they pay you cash?

I’m once again on Haitus, but at the end of the month I’m starting on Survivor again. I don’t get to go to location though I’m just working in their post production facilities stateside

no, but i get discounts. Its financial support. Its better than nothing. I know ive bashed their sponsorships before, and i know they’re EXTREMELY easy to get. They are good though.

Same here and I also get discounts on stuff like pedals and that junk.

I have two jobs, and an 11 hour work day.

At 6AM I am ON THE AIR as a morning show DJ. I do it because I quit show business, and I still get to write jokes and have fun with current events. People say I have a great “morning” voice. Turns out quitting show biz is harder than quitting heroin.

After my radio shift I go work as a Hotel Maintenance guy.
not as much fun, but it pays well. After living in hotels for 20 years I like to work in them…feels like home!

I work in Quality for the global leader in medical devices. I absolutely abhor my job, but I make good money.

I stay with it for the health insurance and because I have a mortgage to pay.

I work at a local grocery store…and do everything. I basically work in every section/departmanet that im legally allowed to(due to age).
I like the people i work with, friendly/happy costumers and the constant changing of employment.

i dont like annoying shoppers, low pay, semi-low hours(more labor laws:( )

I work as an Usher at a Theatre.

I’m a student and this is the best paid casual job i could find ($25 per hour).

What: Web consultant
Why: 'Cause it was offered, and I was well qualified

I write content (Have an English degree), and do some html/javascript stuff, mostly for a software company (minored in Comp-Sci) who’s product is a competitor to one of Microsoft’s (I’m a Linux geek and love Freedom ;)). It’s good money, and though it’s “part-time”, I make more than I did working full time for Walmart, and I was making over $12/hr there (I was an automotive tech there for 8.5 years). And I’m self-employed, so I make my own hours, which is cool

I also do some Google Adwords stuff, both for that company and a ski/snowboard instructor school here in Quebec.

I work as a night receptionist for a company called Technicolor. They do a lot of studio/film content work which I hope to work my way up to. I also try to do some freelance editing. Just applied to work at the Apple store also.

I used to work for a radio station doing promotional events and cut-ins which was a lot of fun. Especially considering I worked with nearly all girls.

General laborer at a construction/ renting company. I do everything from dumpster management crew ( Don’t be fooled by the name it is dumpster tetris literally) to cleaning and painting apartments.

Why: I get paid damn good since I work under the table. Last summer I made about 2000 for only a month and a half. The one paycheck for only of 2 weeks of work was 1025$. Not bad for a 14year old.

Climbing instructor

I love climbing, and i love teaching it, its a great way to work out and has one of the best communities i have ever been in.

i also do all kinds of metal work… sometimes as a job and sometimes on my own. but i have quite a bit of experience and steel is fun
