I know this was on before but a update would be good today.
What is your Favorite Unicycling Tune that gets you in the mood.
I have several. (I have to put them on the Burner DJM) But here’s my Top 6 of the best. Please includes Group or Artist Name’s and Song Title.
1: Eagle Rock By Daddy Cool*
2: Old Time Rock ‘n’ Roll By Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet
3) Dancing Queen By ABBA
4) Chain Reaction by Diana Ross or the Bee Gees
5) Secret Love By The Bee Gees
6) The Way You Do The Things You Do By The Temptations
I haven’t really thought about this before but here are a few songs that, now that I think about it, get me in the mood for unicycling (more than I am already):
Muni
Directions in Groove - Pythonicity
Directions in Groove - Freezerville Trials
Stanton Moore - Tchfunkta
Ben Harper - Mama’s Trippin’
Tower of Power - So I Got to Groove Freestyle
James Brown - Get up Offa That Thing
Directions in Groove - Hip Replacement General Riding (longer distances)
Mason Williams - Classical Gas
Santana - Soul Sacrifice (I’m off to see Santana live in about 3 weeks!!! There’s bound to be a ridiculously good percussion section there)
…but of course there are so many more.
I’d be interested to see what styles of music get people in the mood what what sorts of riding.
Lose Yourself - Eminem
More Human than Human* - White Zombie
Superman - 3 Doors Down
Holding Out For a Hero - Bonnie Tyler
Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) - C & C Music Factory
Gangsta’s Paradise - Coolio
Get the Party Started - Pink
Baby Got Back - Sir Mixalot
Sk8r Boi - Avril Lavigne
Ode to Joy - Beethoven
The Devil Went Down to Georgia - Charlie Daniels Band
Ghost - Bazza
I’m the Only One, If I Wanted To, Like the Way I Do, Bring Me Some Water, et
cetera - Melissa Etheridge
I Am the One and Only - Chesney Hawkes
Simply the Best - Tina Turner
More Human than Human is also my best max effort day music - I can squat,
good morning, deadlift, bench, and overhead press more listening to it than
anything else I’ve ever heard. Gotta crank the volume, of course.
And I thought I was brave admitting to liking Philip Glass! I think that was one of the songs I tried to drown out by playing my records very loud, same effort to block out “I Think We’re Alone Now” by Tiffany (?). As you can tell, my wee sister also had dubious taste in music, but
a) mine was definitely not “bubble gum for the ears” and
b) I had a much louder stereo than her:D
Hmmm. I haven’t got the song, but didn’t someone (you?) make a video with that as the backing music fairly recently? I must have a shufty through my collection…

I have horrible taste in TV, too; mostly soft porn and action flicks. “Sex
and violence are never gratuitous!”
