So far the best movie of the year has been X2. IMO it is one of the best sequels ever. I was impressed by the complexity of the story and the major transition of the characters. The fight scenes were a lot smoother and I really enjoyed the special effects.
A sequel should be out around 2005 and I hope it continues in the positive footsteps.

Whats POTC? And i would like to nominate the movie The Bone Collector…it didnt come out this year but this year was when i first saw it, i enjoyed it much. Kill Bill while it was entertaining sucked as for a storyline and just all around cornyness. The best part of it was the anime though. Plus, it showed Uma Thurmans (SP?) feet for way too long, them things are disguisting.
This year, compared to past years, was very disappointing in it’s movies. Last year was worse, though, it was like the year of the sequels. And this year was the other year of the sequels, like, the sequel year to the year of the sequels. Man, when you say sequel enough times it starts to sound really funny. Sequel. I don’t even know if I’m spelling it right anymore. Sequel. Sequal? Nah. Sequel.
Yeah, but the best movie this year was the Pirates of the Caribbean. They’re coming out with a sequel to that. And a sequel to Spider Man, and a sequel to Shrek, and I think a few others.

You’re looking at it wrong. It’s not a movie, its a really cool videogame waiting to happen.
It has a pseudo-story, just enough to justify our hero moving through a number of levels (Pasadena, Japan etc.) killing an insane amount of bad guys.

But seen as a movie, it sucks.
One of the actors in Whale Rider works at the same Pizza place as me (and puts up with my “unicycling through the shop” antics)! It wasn’t really my type of movie though.
Best movie in my opinion was Kill Bill vol1. What is “Kill Bill VI”? I didn’t think the sequel was out yet?
